NBSC Learning Resource Center (LRC) Hosts Successful 1st Book Fair
Northern Bukidnon State College (NBSC) proudly wrapped up its inaugural Book Fair on March 10-11 at the NBSC Library Complex in Kihare, Tankulan. The event drew an enthusiastic crowd of students, faculty, and staff.
The event showcased an impressive array of books from leading exhibitors, including CD BOOKS, C&E Publishing, Inc., EESM, FASTBOOKS, Great Books Trading, Mindmover Publishing, Nikephoros Office Supplies, Serv Enterprises and MegaTEXTS Phil. Inc. Attendees discovered exciting finds and accessed a treasure trove of literary resources.
Longine Halibas from MegaTEXTS Phil. Inc. expressed gratitude for the opportunity to participate, stating, “𝙎𝙞𝙮𝙚𝙢𝙥𝙧𝙚 𝙩𝙝𝙖𝙣𝙠𝙛𝙪𝙡 𝙥𝙤𝙙 𝙢𝙞 𝙛𝙤𝙧 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙞𝙣𝙫𝙞𝙩𝙖𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣, 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙥𝙖𝙧𝙖 𝙥𝙤𝙙 𝙢𝙖𝙠𝙖𝙩𝙖𝙗𝙖𝙣𝙜 𝙢𝙞 𝙨𝙖 𝙞𝙣𝙮𝙤 𝙣𝙜𝙖 𝙢𝙖𝙠𝙞𝙩𝙖 𝙣𝙞𝙣𝙮𝙤 𝙖𝙣𝙜 𝙖𝙘𝙩𝙪𝙖𝙡 𝙗𝙤𝙤𝙠𝙨 𝙘𝙤𝙢𝙥𝙖𝙧𝙚𝙙 𝙨𝙖 𝙖𝙙𝙩𝙤𝙣𝙜 𝙨𝙖 𝙪𝙣𝙖 𝙣𝙜𝙖 𝙡𝙞𝙨𝙩𝙞𝙣𝙜𝙨 𝙡𝙖𝙣𝙜 𝙖𝙣𝙜 𝙢𝙖𝙠𝙞𝙩𝙖.” This highlights the importance of the Book Fair in providing readers with a tactile experience, allowing them to explore books beyond mere online listings.
Dr. Ermelina C. Bardilas, Head of the Learning Resource Center, also shared her excitement about the event. “𝙄 𝙖𝙢 𝙫𝙚𝙧𝙮 𝙝𝙖𝙥𝙥𝙮 𝙩𝙤 𝙧𝙚𝙖𝙡𝙞𝙯𝙚 𝙢𝙮 𝙙𝙧𝙚𝙖𝙢, 𝙬𝙝𝙞𝙘𝙝 𝙝𝙖𝙨 𝙗𝙚𝙚𝙣 𝙤𝙣𝙚 𝙤𝙛 𝙢𝙮 𝙙𝙧𝙚𝙖𝙢𝙨 𝙨𝙞𝙣𝙘𝙚 𝙄 𝙘𝙖𝙢𝙚 𝙩𝙤 𝙉𝘽𝙎𝘾,” she noted. Dr. Bardilas thanked College President Dr. Christie Jean Villanueva-Ganiera, CESE, for approving the event and all exhibitors for their support.
Emphasizing the event’s significance, Dr. Bardilas stated, “𝙏𝙝𝙞𝙨 𝙞𝙨 𝙖 𝙫𝙚𝙧𝙮 𝙜𝙤𝙤𝙙 𝙖𝙘𝙩𝙞𝙫𝙞𝙩𝙮 𝙞𝙣 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙛𝙞𝙚𝙡𝙙 𝙤𝙛 𝙡𝙞𝙗𝙧𝙖𝙧𝙞𝙖𝙣𝙨𝙝𝙞𝙥 𝙗𝙚𝙘𝙖𝙪𝙨𝙚 𝙬𝙚 𝙘𝙖𝙣 𝙚𝙣𝙨𝙪𝙧𝙚 𝙩𝙝𝙖𝙩 𝙩𝙚𝙖𝙘𝙝𝙚𝙧𝙨 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙨𝙩𝙪𝙙𝙚𝙣𝙩𝙨 𝙨𝙚𝙡𝙚𝙘𝙩 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙗𝙤𝙤𝙠𝙨. Miss Grace Quiblat, a faculty member and PathFit Coordinator, also expressed enthusiasm for the book fair and highlighted its positive impact on the academic community. She is delighted to find the sports and fitness books they need, as the library previously had limited resources. She said that books will be helpful for classes, covering exercises, coaching, and research. She also hopes the library acquires them and looks forward to future book fairs with updated editions.
The success of the 1st NBSC Book Fair marks a promising start for future events. It fosters a love for reading and provides vital resources for students and educators alike.
